With Black Friday on the horizon, your “wish list” is probably growing by the minute. Right?

So that you don’t end up with buyer’s remorse the next day, here’s what you SOULD take advantage of those markdown’s for, and invest in:

Basics.

Good, quality basics that you’ll wear over and over again, such as good quality t-shirts, a good pair of black pants, or a good pair of jeans… Basics are pieces that work well on their own, but can also be the canvas for layering or pairing with bolder pieces.

Investment pieces.

These are the pieces that will actually last you a life time, like a high quality bag, or a designer bag, a classic trench-coat, a masculine black overcoat, classic jewelry, etc.

That one trend item you’ve been eyeing forever.

Because this all suppose to be fun, and if you’ve been eyeing it for a long time, you probably really want it and like. But because it’s a trend, and very few trends stick around, I don’t recommend buying these at full price. And notice that I mentioned ONE trend item. This is to make sure is something you identify with, and you’re not just buying it because everyone else is.

Make a list AND stick to it!

After you have narrow down what you really want, make a list and take it with you when you go shopping. This will help keep you focused, and away from spending more that you wanted and/or, buying things you hadn’t plan on. Stick to your list!

Happy shopping!
