As much as I love Christmas, this can be a stressful time. All the people in your life that you’re trying to please, all the money you see fleeing your bank account… And with no guaranties of success. There’s always that difficult friend, sister, mom… that never seems to need OR like anything.

It’s tough!

One thing I became known for, over the year, is by being a great gift shopper. Apparently I have a natural gift (no pun intended) to read people, and their needs, which combined with my training as an image consultant, makes the perfect tool set for the job.

This year, and because 2020 has been hard enough on everyone, I put together 10 gift ideas that will make you shine come Christmas night (or morning, depending on your traditions), without breaking the bank!

1-  For your influencer friend who is always on the go, trust me, gadgets are never too much. Build your own box with these portable, and practical solutions that will make her life easier.

2- For the beauty junkie in your life, gift her a “feel good” box. …Instead of a random subscription, again, put together your own box, with hand picked products you know she usually wears. For example: does she always wear lipstick or lipgloss? Then Mary Kay’s Iconic Red lipgloss or the Rouge Affriolant lipstick will be perfect to update her collection. Or maybe she doesn’t live without a good weekly facial or mask. Be thoughtful, and you’ll do great!

3- One thing we can all have more of these days, is cute loungewear! These pieces by Sydne Summer are soft, cozy, and pretty enough that whoever you gift them to, will want to wear them outside… and I’m fine with that, when it looks this good!

4- Along with loungewear, I bet we’ve all been spending too much time in slippers! Most of these tend to be uncomfortable and/ or unhealthy to wear for long periods of time, because they’re too flat. So pick a pair of comfy & luxe slippers, and pair them with a fun, stylish slip mask, for your friend that’s been working from home for months.

5- As we spend more time indoors, and less time around other people, it’s easy to slack on feeding our brains! Self-development is so important to keep us motivated, top of our game, and keep our brains active. An easy-to-read mini book collection, will sure be delightful for your savvy friend.

6- Speaking of self-development, gift my online course “BOSS LADY Style 101” to your friend who’s working really hard to change her life around, stand on her feet, and be the queen of her own future.

7- Still on the topic of improving yourself, this is a great time to start thinking about what you want for the next year, and how will your personal image translate that. Gift yourself or your best friend with a digital Personal Styling tune in or complete makeover. You set the tone, I’ll guide through the whole process.

8- To your wanderlust friend, who lives for hoping on a plane, put together a cute box with a few essentials, like a practical travel bag, a good face mask to keep her skin hydrated (planes are fun but they’ll ruin your skin!), and a practical accessory like a toptote: perfect to keep your hat harm free, on hand, and not worry about where you’ll place it!

9- A timeless watch. Okay, this one might break the bank a little but a good quality, timeless watch will be with you forever. This is the type of piece you should gift yourself, in celebration of having survived such a cruel year. Or gift a very special person in your life, like your spouse, mom, or daughter. Someone who, like a timeless watch, will always be there for you.

10- Dandy jewelry. Think of quality over quantity, and this one is for everyone. If she’s over 30, investing in quality jewelry over cheap pieces should definitely be a priority. Why not help your friend start a fresh collection. New year coming, new adult her… or you!
