11 Must Have Shoes

I talk about the “Essentials” a lot, because the bases of your wardrobe are really the key to achieving a great personal style and destress your mornings. These are the pieces that you invest in – quality garments that will last forever.

So, when it comes to shoes (and who can resist a good pair of shoes?!), it’s no different. There’s a couple of options you need to have in your wardrobe, so you’ll be ready for any occasion. These are also the shoes that will last a long time so, you should go with high quality, good feet support and comfort (as comfortable as can be, when it comes to high-heels!). Also, these are the shoes that shouldn’t follow any crazy trends. These shoes must be polished and timeless. So here’s my selection of staple-must-have-shoes-to-last!

  • A pair of black, classic stilettos
(who doesn’t love a pair of red soles but, obviously, you can go with any other high-heel pump — never higher than 4 inches)
  • A pair of nude stilettos
(by nude I mean the closest to your skin tone as possible)
  • Ballerinas
(ones that aren’t plain and boring but also that you won’t get tired of, any time soon)
  • Flat, closed shoes
(it can be a pair of brogues, such as these, oxfords, mocassins, loafers… just choose whatever suits your style best)
  • Classic sneakers
(and yes, you need a pair just for the gym but, these aren’t it! These bad boys are meant to walk the streets)
  • Flat booties
(I like this kinda rock’n’roll vibe but, again, you should choose something that better suits your own personal style)
  • A pair of knee-high boots
(for extra coverage on those cold Winter days)
  • Nude sandals
(they pair well with everything and won’t shorten you, which is super important)
  • Wedges
(high-heeled and cute for those Summer nights, beach parties, weddings that make you walk on grass, etc, etc…)
  • Flat sandals
(again, if you go for strips, choose a nude color, something that matches your skin tone or golden)
  • High-heel booties
(the rules stands when it comes to high-heels — maximum 4 inches. However, if you’re not comfortable walking that high, go for a shorter heel. It’s best to look good in a lower heel than to make a fool of yourself trying to walk around in something you really can’t!… Not worthy of a “boss-lady” such as yourself!)
